I graduated from Brown College with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design, in the spring of 2003. While at Brown I gained extensive knowledge in page layout, and conceptual design. My Professors were working art directors and freelance artists. Not only did they teach me about the best practices of design, they also gave me good insights on what the overall experience of a professional graphic designer is. After graduation I attended classes at Des Moines Area Community College. DMACC helped me to become more proficient in the updated design software used in my freelance work. Being proficient and meeting deadlines enabled me to stay competitive in the creation of identity systems, websites, and t-shirts for clients.
